Responsibilities
- Follow all safety guidelines/policies, proper use of equipment, etc.; performs safety check before using Forklift each shift.
- Operates Forklift to move Production Materials/ Packaging to the lines as needed
- Load and unload trucks
- Cycle counts and filling out paperwork
- Utilize RF scanner to scan and move inventory
- Grinding and bailing
- Inspects all pallets for accuracy in regards to weight and correct stacking configuration
- Maintains proper housekeeping while performing duties. Required to assist wherever needed
- Informs shift Supervisor of weight variances in finished product and any Packaging discrepancies
- Utilizes accurate scans/ scripts while performing job duties
- Verify wheels have been chocked before entering Trailer
Qualifications
- Experience driving a forklift in an industrial setting.
- Perform basic computer functions and data entry
- Must be able to complete Berry Global fork-lift certification training within an 8 hour period.
- Understanding of shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, customers’ special instructions.
- Working knowledge of basic math functions
- Effective communication
