Responsibilities:
Performs routine packing tasks involved in the manufacturing of plastic bottles, following the information provided on the traveler.
May be required to operate the box machines, tape and glue gun.
Follows prescribed procedures, performs duties such as packing and insertion of corrugated material.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Verifies carton label information.
Prepares boxes for packing.
Able to pack bottles both in the production area and in the repack area when necessary.
Able to pack bottles in various types of machines.
Reports any safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
Reports accidents to the supervisor immediately.
Follows site cGMP and Safety requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Skills
Must have the ability to remember packing sequence and pack patterns.
Ability to carry out work orders, make decisions on bottle jams.
Must be able to meet deadlines.
Education and/or Equivalent Experience
Basic math skills. To be able to calculate the number of bottles that can fit into a box and pack bottles in different sequences and in numerical sequence of box labels.
Must be able to speak, write and read effectively in order to understand packing labels, travelers, work orders, safety notices, and other forms of written communication.
Ability to print legibly and to fill out forms.
Must be punctual.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment

The noise level on the production floor is 90dB.
The Production Packers must wear protective foot coverings such as, rubber-soled shoes. Also, must wear earplugs, safety glasses, bump caps and hairnets when on the production floor. No jewelry except a wedding band without stones.
Will frequently lift up to 35 lbs. Also, will be stooping to pick up bottles that are dropped approximately 4% of the day.
Will move both arms constantly form the machine to the box. Usually picks up 2 to 3 bottles per hand.
Must be able to visually detect bottle defects as instructed.
Required to read labels on cartons and match them against the label samples provided in the job packets.
Constant bending, twisting and standing are required on the average of 80% of the day.
