Responsibilities

Performs preventative maintenance tasks.
 Answers direct requests from the manufacturing floor “calls” by making the initial evaluation of the
situation and determining what level of maintenance is needed for the issue/repair.
 Will resolve requests from the manufacturing floor.
 Performs all tasks necessary to operate maintenance room equipment according to procedure.
 Maintains equipment in production ready and safe condition.
 Troubleshoots and repairs equipment as needed.
 Participates in cross functional process improvement teams.
 Actively participates in daily team production meetings – communicates key items within the plant
environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
 Follows work instructions as needed.
 Performs root cause analysis when problems to determine if actions can be taken immediately or
appropriate personnel need to be called.
 Maintains 5S environment in work area.
 Administers equipment preventative maintenance program.
 Participates in equipment optimization and cost control/reduction activities.
 Assists maintenance staff to ensure all auxiliary equipment is in place and in working order.
 Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

 High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
 Prefer at least 3 to 5 years-experience in a manufacturing environment. Must pass Maintenance Tech Trainee Test.
 Must possess a high degree of skill and a broad knowledge of mechanical principles and electromechanical techniques, pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, robotics or other technical expertise, PLC’s
plus diversified long term experience.
 Possesses well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
 Ability to utilize basic and advanced hand tools for a multitude of applications.
 Ability to read blueprints & schematics (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic).
 Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
 Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
 Computer experience is preferred.
 Must take maintenance Ivy Tech courses (6-total) within 18-months of assuming position
