Responsibilities

  • Verify samples received from production meet quality standards.
  • Monitors incoming sample orders, if product is in stock it should be shipped the most economical way to arrive by the order request date.
  • Produce freight bills for shipments and provide accounting with detailed reports of shipment.
  • Perform sample inventory as needed and maintain all inventory reports.
  • Monitor incoming sample orders to identify those samples that are not in inventory and coordinate with scheduling to get those samples produced.
  • Communicate with Customer Service Reps as required.
  • Sign for UPS and Federal Express shipments and distribute to proper persons.
  • The supply warehouseman is responsible for organizing the shipping and receiving of all shipments.
  • Daily inventory and cycle counts.
  • Must be able to break down a production line schedule and coordinate supply requirements with Purchasing.
  • Responsible for 5S of the warehouse area.
  • Ability to balance the inventory, (Minimum/Maximum requirements)
  •  Maintain stock items utilizing FIFO (Rotating stock item using First In First Out Method)
  • Ability to cross train on a variety jobs
  • Breakout and order schedule dictated items as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable of the shipping process utilizing multiple carrier with efficiencies in both regular and expedited freight services.
  • In depth working knowledge of computers with specific understanding of the JDE system as well as Microsoft Word and Excel software.
  • Ability to utilize a calculator to solve basic math equations.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of our different film products to ensure all samples shipped meet those specifications.
  • Monitor the born on date of each sample and ensure no samples are shipped after 90 days old.
  • Inventory sample packaging supplies and coordinates with purchasing to ensure adequate supply.
  • Ability to cover for the shipping warehouse position and perform duties associated.
  • Ability to complete routine duties of the scheduler and be able to serve as a back up to cover for that position.
  • Ability to build product codes for new sample requests.
  • Ability to pass a forklift driving test.
  • Knowledge of basic e-mail, how to send information to vendors.
  • Ability to understand a production line schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sample area as well as help with housekeeping duties in the receiving warehouse.
