Responsibilities

 

  1. Responsible for all Continuous Improvement Activities and Quality Objectives within the plant.
  2. Evaluating processes for improvement in all Departments: 5S, SMED, Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma and product flow for safety and efficiencies.
  3. Ability to train entire plant staff to the above noted programs.
  4. Coaches all departments to develop teamwork skills.
  5. Analyze costs and cost reductions where possible on an ongoing basis.
  6. Responsible for Tracking and Trending of all KOM (Key Operating Metrics)
  7. Validate SOP’s in all departments. Develop and monitor corrective action request(CAR’s) and validate that they have been implemented
  8. Organize and direct internal audits
  9. Establish and maintain good customer relationships through appropriate and required communication
  10. Review SPC data
  11. Evolve Quality Department into a World Class Organization.
  12. Conduct vendor audits when required
  13. Manage capability studies and prepares reports on the results
  14. Stays informed on current developments in immediate field of vocation and attends schooling and other functions as necessary and communicates information to subordinate personnel.
  15. Communicates and cooperates with other employees in a positive and constructive manner to achieve the Goals of the Department and the Plant.
  16. Promotes Safety by following all Plant Safety rules and reports violations and unsafe practices to appropriate Management Personnel.
  17. Promotes GMP policy, product safety and daily cleaning.
  18. Shall assign the responsibility and authority for: a) ensuring that the quality management system conforms to the requirements of this International Standard; b) ensuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs; c) reporting on the performance of the quality management system, on opportunities for improvement and on the need for change or innovation, and especially for reporting to top management; d) ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization; e) ensuring that the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes to the quality management system are planned and implemented.
  19. Perform duties in the absence of key personnel
  20. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelors Degree, knowledgeable in the Quality field or 3-5 years experience is preferred.
  2. Minimum of three years experience in manufacturing, preferably in plastics or QA, with increasing roles of responsibility.
  3. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  4. QA, ISO, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, Six Sigma, 5-why experience a plus.
  5. Effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills 
  6. Proven problem solving skills inclusive of Root Cause Analysis/Problem Solving. Kaizen, and Conflict Resolution.
  7. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with various internal and external contacts and influence others to drive change and positive improvement. 
  8. Customer focused mindset.
  9. Strong change management skills.
  10. Proficiency with computers, and computer software including Microsoft Office and Minitab.               
  11. Prior manufacturing experience.
