Responsibilities

  • Exemplifies the Acor's Behaviors and Values at all times. Leads by example and  exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Berry inside and outside of the plant.
  • Embodies commitment for a safe workplace, and acts as a role model on safety leadership, activities, and communication
  • Responsible for processing payroll for plant hourly associates.
  • Interviewing and onboarding personnel; ensures legal compliance and consistency
  • Data entry—payroll management, time clock, and employee entries
  • Filing – effectively maintain personnel, medical, training, and Form I-9s
  • Staffing - temp to hire recruiting, works with approved agencies
  • Effective use of AS 400 System and other applicable HR software - new hire set up, status changes.
  • Attendance tracking - monitor points, absence excuses, track warnings
  • Tracks performance reviews for timely completion
  • Training and development - works with HRM to assess needs
  • Employee relations - assists HRM as needed
  • New hire orientation - ensures benefits, policies, and employee needs are covere
  • Benefit administration - provides employees with contact information, assists with benefit changes
  • Unemployment claim administration - files timely replies, attends hearings as needed
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with Group Leads and Supervisors
  • Perform any other duties as established by the Human Resource Manager
  • Responsibilities and Authority include assuring compliance with federal, state, government and/or any appropriate regulatory law or guidelines

Qualifications

  • Human Resources experience 2-5 years
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Social Sciences
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Power Point
