Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the site's organizational strategy, ensuring alignment between people, cost efficiency, and delivery performance
  • Lead and manage all aspects of operations, including production, staffing, training, and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure departmental goals are safely met in terms of quality, quantity, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to understand operational gaps, and develop appropriate action plans to drive required improvement actions.
  • Collaborate with quality, maintenance, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Manage and develop the team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Support new product introductions and process changes
  • Assist (as required) in the creation of and maintaining compliance with all operational budgets, forecasts, and cost-control initiatives.

Additionally:

  • Establish and lead plant safety objectives while ensuring compliance to safety policies and procedures.
  • Support Plant Safety Committee by attending and leading where necessary.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the manufacturing function to ensure the most effective return on assets.
  • Interact regularly with Production Frontline Leaders and production employees to provide direction and leadership.
  • Be a highly visible presence in manufacturing areas
  • Ensure compliance with all site quality policies and procedures in accordance with ISO9001.
  • Ensure effective communication with all employees.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a high speed / volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, etc.)
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
  • 5 years minimum in a leadership role in manufacturing.
  • Experience with hourly and salary direct reports required.
