Responsibilities
- Reduce operating cost through efficient operation of manufacturing and building equipment.
- Create and maintain a safe work environment.
- Supervise employees and activities in the Maintenance Department.
- Develop and monitor preventative maintenance programs.
- Set priorities for maintenance repairs.
- Manage expenses for Maintenance shop and make recommendations for capital needs.
- Evaluate down-time and efficiency reports.
- Drive process improvements.
- Work with vendors on projects.
- Enforce all company policies.
- Oversee new hire training and continuous training to improve efficiencies.
- Complies with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- College Degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
- Knowledge of all manufacturing and building equipment including but not limited to Injection Molding machinery, auxiliary equipment, lining and assembly machines, and compression machines, preferred
- Must have experience in maintaining all support equipment such as but not limited to, HVAC systems, tower and chiller systems, vacuum loading systems
- Must be able to read all hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical blueprints.
- Must know PLC’s and electro mechanical relay control system.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct employees.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with proven ability to multi-task.
- Possess excellent problem solving ability and good judgment.
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
- Previous experience in Plastic Injection Molding, preferred
- 3-5 years experience in similar role.
- Experience / general knowledge of computer and software skills, must be able to use programs to generate reports, spreadsheets, etc....
- Abilitye to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Ability to work safely in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
