Responsibilities

 

  • Reduce operating cost through efficient operation of manufacturing and building equipment.
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Supervise employees and activities in the Maintenance Department.
  • Develop and monitor preventative maintenance programs.
  • Set priorities for maintenance repairs.
  • Manage expenses for Maintenance shop and make recommendations for capital needs.
  • Evaluate down-time and efficiency reports.
  • Drive process improvements.
  • Work with vendors on projects.
  • Enforce all company policies.
  • Oversee new hire training and continuous training to improve efficiencies.
  • Complies with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. 

Qualifications

  • College Degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
  • Knowledge of all manufacturing and building equipment including but not limited to Injection Molding machinery, auxiliary equipment, lining and assembly machines, and compression machines, preferred
  • Must have experience in maintaining all support equipment such as but not limited to, HVAC systems, tower and chiller systems, vacuum loading systems
  • Must be able to read all hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical blueprints.
  • Must know PLC’s and electro mechanical relay control system.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct employees.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with proven ability to multi-task.
  • Possess excellent problem solving ability and good judgment.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
  • Previous experience in Plastic Injection Molding, preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in similar role.
  • Experience / general knowledge of computer and software skills, must be able to use programs to generate reports, spreadsheets, etc....
  • Abilitye to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work safely in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
