Responsibilities

Job Summary:        

 

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee all aspects of quality in the production area. In this position you will ensure that all Injection Molding product and Dry OffSet Printing product is made to quality inspection standards. This awesome supervisor will support all QA Inspectors in production, in their daily duties and ensure all employees are doing their jobs correctly and safely as well as take pride in their work and their attendance to maximize efficiency.  English/Spanish bilingual skills preferred. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee the Molding and Printing quality inspection and testing program (executed by the QA Inspectors) ensuring that product/lines receive required quantity of inspections and test, and that finished goods meet established acceptance criteria.
  • Responsible for assuring adequate working conditions and appropriate quality equipment and supplies.
  • Report any deviation/anomaly to the proper level in Quality and Production.
  • Oversee the integrity of NCMR (C-Pro), Material Transactions/Production Holds performed by the QA’s insuring accuracy, proper documentation, labeling, completion and prompt disposition.
  • Executes control various testing systems, protocols, and interfaces
    • ShopFloor Online
    • Size studies, CQV process, etc.
    • Trials (working with Product Development)
  • Assists in testing, evaluating, and reporting on customer returned product as well as the electronic and physical disposition thereof
  • Performs incoming inspection of raw materials and works with purchasing to address any vendor issues.
  • Support the ISO 9001 and SQF programs.
  • Supervise/manage direct reports.
  • Effectively support, coach and develop staff members
  • Other tasks as assigned by Quality Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversee Quality Inspectors. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent and/or minimum of three years working in a quality related position. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Strong and demonstrated understanding of SPC. Strong experience with ISO. ASQ certification is a plus but not required. Experience with GMP's required and various organizations such as ASI, and AIB/SQF preferred. College degree is preferred. Must be able to wear protective clothing as hair net, uniform, steel toe shoes, bump cap and ear plugs. Hot and cold, noisy environment, with odors.

 

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:

 Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Use of mathematical skills in spreadsheets desired.

 

Reasoning Ability:

 Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.  The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of U.V. radiation.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
