Participates in changeovers, machine PM, and repairs.
Understands and can relate the current status of all production machines on the floor.
Spends first 15 minutes of shift in meeting with Maintenance Supervisor or PM Lead to review PM schedule and assigned tasks for the day.
Experience making and replacing hydraulic hoses and valves.
Basic understanding of pneumatic systems.
Working knowledge of servicing hydraulics and replacing hydraulic pumps.
Before shift end, employee will enter appropriate information in the PM Log or other appropriate designated place and be responsible for all appropriate documentation.
Works closely with shift supervisor to maintain machines in safe, efficient and quality process.
Spends 95% of time on the floor with the machines.
Preferred Candidates will have the following:
Working knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out Requirements
Understanding of Safe Rigging Practices
Prior certification on a Forklift a plus
Must have good mechanical aptitude
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
No experience working in a manufacturing environment? Candidates will be considered if you have the following:
Attended and successfully attained a high school diploma from a Technical/Trade High School with the following trades: Manufacturing & Engineering, Transportation Technologies and Construction & Development; or
Obtained experience from prior or current military service in a mechanical or engineering discipline.
