Responsibilities

As the first point of contact for all those visiting Amcor’s Evansville Downtown facility, the receptionist and office assistant will extend a warm welcome to all guests, employees, and customers that come in and out of the building. Will also answer incoming phone calls and filter the calls accordingly, and assist with the daily administrative operations of the company.

  • Coordinate front-desk activities
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
  • Screen, and forward incoming phone calls to the appropriate staff
  • Greet employees and visitors; direct all visitors to the appropriate person or location
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain office security; monitor logbook and issue visitor badges
  • Provide accurate and basic information when necessary
  • Work closely with various departments on tasks/projects
  • Coordinate necessary meetings, events, and special visits – agenda, reserve meeting room, hotel accommodations, order food, parking, set up meeting/event space, etc.
  • Assist with internal communications, as needed (TVs, Communication emails, create/post flyers, etc.)
  • Be involved in Community Support committee
  • Monitor level of office supplies and replenish, as necessary

Qualifications

  • Strong telephone and computer skills; Experience with Microsoft Office suite & Teams is preferred
  • Organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Display a professional attitude and appearance
  • Maintain and display focus on customers
  • Proven work experience as a receptionist, front office representative, assistant, or similar role
