The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for reviewing and auditing inventory levels to ensure accuracy. This role includes preparing daily and monthly reports related to inventory levels and transactions, as well as conducting various inventory counts throughout the facility.

The following duties are essential. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
• Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, quality, and attendance. Perform tasks safely and report any observed hazards to management. Serve as a safety role model.
• Prepare weekly Raw Material and Scrap Reports along with necessary adjustments.
• Generate inventory reports for staff as requested.
• Collaborate with the Plant Controller to maintain the "obsolete/slow-moving inventory" report. Document comments and coordinate actions regarding slow-moving inventory. Follow up on the final disposition of that inventory and make adjustments as needed.
• Adjust physical inventory levels as directed or required.
• Create a monthly resin order report for corporate purchasing.
• Manage scrap inventory for reprocessing.
• Maintain repro and PCR inventory for production needs.
• Print cycle counts and enters data into a monthly spreadsheet. Update scrap and resin inventory weekly within the cycle count.
• Compile and input the Daily Yield report onto a spreadsheet for distribution.
• Prepare, maintain, and reconcile the month-end production floor inventory. Enter inventory adjustments in JDE and reconcile roll stock inventory.
Receive and relocate prime resins as directed by the controller to appropriate locations. Keep records of prime resins received by rail or hopper truck.
• Reconcile scrap data from the Reprocessing Daily Scrap Report with the WebEFF scrap reports.
• Report on cycle count accuracy, following up on any missing location counts and unusual variances.
• Conduct physical inventories of packaging, resin, and finished goods as needed.
• Participate in employee-driven teams to address issues related to scrap, quality, safety, or other plant matters.

Skills/Experience:
• In addition to educational requirements, 3-4 years of previous experience in inventory control and reconciliation is desired, with prior experience in manufacturing being a plus.
• Minimum education and years of experience should not be the sole criteria for leveling factors described below.

Other Skills and Abilities
• Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Power Point) highly desirable. Experience with inventory/production management software required; JDE and WebEFF highly desirable.
• Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Basic mathematical skills to be able to understand simple mathematical concepts such as percentages and ratios; reconcile reports and verify totals on reports.
• Must be detail oriented and able to proofread reconciliation reports with accuracy.
