Responsibilities

Join our Creative Services team as a Production Artist Intern, where you'll gain hands-on experience adjusting artwork, preparing mock-ups, and supporting print production. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for design, strong Adobe skills, and an eye for detail.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain artwork and due dates as assigned by the Scheduler.
  • Ability to do basic design work.
  • Adjust customer-supplied art to Amcor specifications.
  • Follow Artist instructions in Deco.
  • Prepare mock-ups as needed.
  • Produce color separations for printing plates.
  • Produce color proofs for internal and external customers.
  • Follow up on jobs that are out for approval.
  • Ability to communicate well with customers.
  • Take on special projects for other departments as needed.
  • Consistently meet acceptable standard of quality and quantity.
  • Contribute to department and corporate goals.
  • Demonstrate a team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

  • Some college education with an interest in graphics or work experience in printing/pre-press background preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Extensive experience with Mac operating systems and associated software with emphasis on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Color vision within normal limits.
  • Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and a minimal near vision ability to read 10-12 point type at a distance of 12-18 inches.
