Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • This position will provide technical, hands-on engineering and project management for manufacturing equipment, automated production lines, and related equipment in the production of plastic closures
  • Manage CapEx projects and make recommendations regarding new technology and processes to improve quality, productivity and overall manufacturing efficiency
  • Responsible for manufacturing efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction
  • Utilize data to identify trends to guide continuous improvement activities
  • Support and troubleshoot multi-discipline machine technology to include mechanical, electrical, controls, PLC’s, vision systems, and drives
  • Provide process and mechanical training to current and new operators and technicians
  • Provides technical support in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
  • Accountable for personal adherence to all applicable Safety, GMP, Food Safety and Plant Policies
  • Occasional non-routine travel required

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field with experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical / electrical background with excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Able to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
    • Ability to draw in 2D and 3D software
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to create and deliver training to a multi-disciplinary group of individuals
