Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspection of machines for leaks and spills on Thermoforming equipment daily.
  • Perform preventive cleaning of oil, grease, and debris from around and under machines daily.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and needed supplies for these duties.
  • Maintain neat and orderly appearance of drum storage area and around machine/areas.
  • Work closely with Shift Leads and higher leadership to bring attention to leaks or excessive lubrication.
  • Insure a safe and healthy work environment for department personnel.
  • Assume control of machine when a situation arises which has potential for personal injury.
  • Complete work assigned by Shift Lead or Leadership Group.
  • Communicate activities with Shift Lead or higher leadership and other members of the department.
  • When machine is down, perform deep cleaning of clamp and clean doors.
  • Continue education and training to stay current with job requirements. LOTO, fork truck, fall protection, and aerial left.
  • Wear proper PPE for task at all times.
  • Maintain and enforce all HAACP, SQF, GMP, Safety rules, and department rules / guidelines.

 

Qualifications

  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic aptitude.
  • Accept responsibility for work performed.
  • Must be dependable and motivated with a good work history.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and man lift.
  • Good reading comprehension and math skills.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work around grease, oils, inks, and solvents without adverse reaction.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders safely.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, or stoop through an entire shift.
  • Good manual dexterity of arms and fingers.
  • Must have 20/20 vision with correction to be able to detect minor defects.
  • Must be able to differentiate color.
