Responsibilities

This role will support the Amcor Flexibles Converter and Distribution business group.  Please note the location for these role(s) will be field based as well as remotely; however, travel will be needed. (estimated 75%)

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as key operational partner to Senior Director of Operations by supporting day-to-day activities for 8-12 plant locations.
  • Assist individual sites to improve performance and achieve KPIs, at the direction of the Sr Director of Ops.
  • Provide operational support to all regions as needed to support Business Group strategies.
  • Provide leadership in the implementation and execution of all Corporate and Business Group EHS programs.  Promote an injury-free workplace culture as well as an environmentally sustainable company. 
  • Collaborate with Plant General Managers to meet targets related to Safety, Sales & EBITDA targets 
  • Contribute to the creation, rollout and execution of the region annual operating plan
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to drive safety enhancements, cost reductions, increased efficiency, and quality improvements—while promoting the sharing of best practices.
  • Support financial decisions on new projects, customer related programs and direct production of products which are consistent with the business group expectations. 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of capital investment projects to improve safety, quality, capacity and conversion cost. 
  • Track and analyze equipment utilization to ensure production levels align with customer demand.
  • Guide and direct teams to meet key operating metrics for each facility within the region. 
  • Evaluate that plants have adequate labor resources, both in target required and talent level necessary to meet region goals.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations or management within a manufacturing environment, with a strong track record of driving strategic success and achieving business objectives.
  • Proven experience with full P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing operations teams, along with the systems, processes, and procedures needed to support long-term strategic goals.
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of achieving results through effective team management and collaboration.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to plan and execute initiatives over a 1–2-year horizon.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Skilled in analyzing complex problems and delivering effective solutions at both functional and strategic levels.
  • Comfortable making difficult personnel decisions when needed to support team and business performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%.
