Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible through active engagement in safety activities and provides clear, consistent communication of safe work expectations.
  • Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk.
  • Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Actively leads risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility by driving prioritized corrective and preventive actions to eliminate/reduce environmental, health or safety risks.
  • Lead all required meetings with safety (i.e. Pre-shift, Department, Change Management, General communication, Town Hall, etc.).
  • Responding to any emergency or potential emergency.
  • Security diligence, including maintaining control of personal key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance / security of Berry information and equipment within your direct responsibility.
  • Constant vigilance and participation in Safety, Food Safety, and Quality practices.
  • Prevent nonconforming product from being shipped to customers.
  • Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality system.
  • Completes incident investigations, root cause analysis and implements corrective actions accordingly in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Ensures the proper training and development of all assigned employees for whom they are responsible.
  • Sets goals for their organizational unit; achieves goals and ensures that all employees understand and work toward achieving goals.
  • Motivates and coaches’ employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback. Identifies and coordinates additional training as needed.
  • Security diligence, including maintaining control of personal key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance / security of Berry information and equipment within your direct responsibility.
  • Observe all Safety precautions, Food Safety requirements and Plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment.
  • Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
  • Warehouse support of manufacturing, quality, maintenance & tooling departments.
  • Implement company rules including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, safety & quality.
  • Responsible for the direction and training of all warehouse team members.
  •  Responsible for the ongoing development of a team environment.
  • Must know the Quality Policy and apply it to working practice.
  • Implement required disciplinary action and all related documentation as needed.
  • Maintain training documentation for all department members.
  • Set up and conduct cycle counts for inventory by coordinating weekly counts. May involve physically recounting parts.
  • Receiving and verifying all incoming raw materials for accuracy.
  • Responsible for receiving all incoming items in JDE.
  • Reconcile assigned inventory locations for inaccuracies.
  • Must be willing to commute between the onsite & offsite warehouses based on need.

Qualifications

  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Associates degree or five to seven years related experience / training.
  • Read, write and speak English.
  • Past experience / proven ability within the specified disciplines.
  • Negative drug screen test results.
  • Capable of operating a Fork Truck in a safe and cautious manner. Must pass the Fork Truck operator test and obtain a valid fork truck license.
  • Functional data processing/clerical skills including filing, 10-key adding machine and phone etiquette.
