Responsibilities

  1. Hold Preshift Meetings with inspectors
    1. Point out machines with special requirements
    2. Confirm all lines are covered by inspectors (must rotate lines)
    3. Cover any emails sent to group
    4. Make sure hand off of issues is done from shift to shift
  2. Cover inspector lines during breaks and lunches
  3. Work with leadership to determine Root Cause and Corrective Actions for issues
  4. Verify training of new inspectors
  5. Review and approve customer samples
  6. Work with printing leadership and rework to contain all defects
  7. Perform skid checks and apply LPN labels
  8. Investigate missing labels on boxes
  9. Performing checks on line of printed items (UPC Scans, Visual Inspection, Tape Testing, IPA Testing, Sutherland Rub, and all others tests required by customers)
  10. Enter NCMR’s, contain defects and place suspect product on hold. Pictures of defects and Traceback form needs scanned to NCMR
  11. Challenge Metal Detectors and skid scanners, investigate and clear alarms.
  12. Investigate No Reads (missing labels, ripped/wrinkled labels)
  13. Train inspectors on procedures regarding new products or test methods
  14. Maintain, document, and perform special testing on products specified by customer
  15. Help pull micro samples
  16. Help to prepare AW for Audits (IMS, Customer, ISO and SQF)

AUTHORITIES:

  1. Designee from QA Manager to Release Inspected Product in JDE
  2. Put suspect product on hold

Qualifications

  1. Knowledge of JDE
  2. Knowledge of NCMR Database
  3. Knowledge of Email, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  4. Strong motivational and communication skills
  5. High level of organization and managing skills
