Responsibilities

  • Promote and enforce Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in the completion of batch records, including final review, internal document control, and verification of records.
  • Collaborate closely with line personnel to monitor and uphold safety and quality standards, providing hands-on support in manufacturing areas to quickly identify quality issues, determine root causes, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication with Maintenance, Machine Technicians, Operators, and Production Supervisors to ensure consistent production of quality products.
  • Review incoming raw materials to ensure conformance with established standards and specifications.
  • Conduct or review product audits on non-conforming materials and in-process production using company or customer-defined AQL standards, quality plans, and applicable sampling strategies.
  • Collect routine product samples from assigned machines at scheduled intervals, using specialized QA tools and gauges to inspect for visual and dimensional conformance to product specifications and tolerances.
  • Perform and document Quality Assurance and SPC testing, ensuring accuracy and consistency with departmental formats.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and QA area, adhering to 5S and safety standards.
  • Comply with all company and departmental procedures, including safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in Quality Assurance training initiatives as needed.
  • Adhere to all federal, regulatory, and safety requirements, including current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Support Quality Engineering and cross-functional departments, including Shipping/Receiving and Warehousing, in identifying potential nonconformances and opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, and service.
  • Support data entry and system verification for daily inventory holds, production scrap, and QA defect tracking. Analyze internal defect and process nonconformance data to identify trends.
  • Participate in customer, vendor, and third-party audits, providing documentation and support as required.
  • Follow all departmental procedures for daily responsibilities and contribute to special QA assignments in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Qualifications

  • Capable of reading, writing and speaking English.
  • Capable of physical mobility and lifting 20-30 lbs. 15-20 times per day, 3-5 days a week.
  • Capable of maintaining good attendance
  • Strong attention to detail/inspection experience preferred with excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Capable of differentiating between colors and shades of color.
  • Capable of performing measurements with indicators, calipers and ability to detect attribute defects.
  • Basic understanding of SPC, AQL, sampling plans and familiar with injection and/or injection blow molding.
  • Basic computer skills required
