Responsibilities

  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain internal reports and dashboards to monitor and enhance departmental performance.
  • Project Coordination: Lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate operational workflows to identify and implement process efficiencies.
  • Tool Development: Design and deploy tools, reports, and systems that strengthen business capabilities and enhance communication across all departments.
  • Operational Standardization: Establish sustainable and repeatable processes for operational analytics and performance management.
  • System Support: Support and enhance system tools including JD Edwards (JDE), Cognos, Ignition, Tableau, PowerBI, and other platforms as assigned.
  • System Enhancement: Design, test, and implement system improvements to support evolving business needs.
  • Technical Expertise: Build deep expertise in relevant software systems and their integration with Amcor’s operational processes.
  • Financial Analysis: Collaborate with finance and operations teams to analyze cost drivers, identify savings opportunities, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Strategic Insight: Translate operational data into financial insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and develop business cases to support proposed changes.
  • General Support: Execute other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Formal training or hands-on experience with business systems and software tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of computer programming.
  • Strong motivation to understand user needs and operational functions.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles and their application in manufacturing environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in PC applications.
  • Dedicated to ongoing professional development in technology, finance, and business, leveraging emerging knowledge to drive innovation and solve complex problems.

Additional Info

The Thermoforming Operations Analyst supports the plant by developing and maintaining technical systems that improve operational efficiency and data accuracy. This role integrates software tools and financial analytics to support reporting, cost analysis, and performance tracking. By working across departments, the analyst helps drive continuous improvement and ensures that business decisions are backed by reliable data and insights
