Responsibilities

You’re an innovative thinker, passionate about people and eager to contribute to a team that supports a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. As a Human Resources Intern at Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions North America, you’ll gain hands-on experience across core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic HR team to support initiatives that enhance the employee experience and drive organizational success.

 

Key Job Accountabilities 

As part of the Human Resources Team, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Assisting with recruitment efforts including posting jobs, reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Supporting the onboarding process by scheduling drug screens and background checks, preparing new hire documentation, and creating employee badges.
  • Participating in and facilitating new hire orientation sessions and employee tours.
  • Maintaining and auditing employee personnel files and organizational charts.
  • Responding to employee inquiries and providing timely support.
  • Assisting with HR communications including creating engaging PowerPoint presentations, updating Amcor TV slides, and preparing email communications.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives such as recognition programs and internal events.
  • Performing general administrative tasks such as answering phones, ordering supplies, coordinating meetings, and employee filing.
  • Participating in career fairs and other talent acquisition events.
  • Contributing to special HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field (Junior/Senior level preferred).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
  • Cooperative, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
  • Ability to work on-site at Evansville, IN, USA – Amcor RPSNA Corporate office.
