Responsibilities

Our Supervisors are essential members of our leadership team. Their guidance and overlook assures that our customer specifications are spot on and packaged according to Berry Global quality standards and guidelines in a safe and efficient manner for the food and medical industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for promoting safety awareness and keeping safety as a number one priority on a daily basis.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and provides direction to production group of 12-15 workers.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Establishes and maintains positive employee relations.
  • Work with Team Leads to focus on priority work activities for shift performance, training, and growth.
  • You'll lead productivity projects to reduce cost and cycle time.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (technical major preferred) and a minimum of +4 years of experience in production, operations, or manufacturing; OR equivalent.
  • +3 years in a leadership / management /supervisor role
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in plastic processing, extrusion, or blown film extrusion.
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training
  • Experience leading multi-tasking responsible workforce.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to motivate teams to achieve business goals
  • Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills
