Responsibilities

QUALITY ASSURANCE AUDITOR

        

About the role  You’re an innovative thinker, passionate about the planet and eager to play a role in creating sustainable packaging that keeps the world healthy, fed and working. As part of our world-class, performance-focused team you’ll perform inspections and testing on in-process and finished goods. Provide leadership and expertise in the achievement of manufacturing goals in the areas of safety, quality, production and efficiency. Ensure personnel performing Quality Checks following correct procedures to produce and monitor products for our customers.

        

Key Job Accountabilities 

 

As a member of the Quality Assurance Auditor team, your role will encompass the following duties:

    • Compliance with Company Policies: Ensure adherence to all company regulations concerning safety, quality, and attendance.
    • Adherence to Industry Standards: Follow established GMP, HACCP, and ISO guidelines set by the organization.
    • Production Support: Collaborate with the production team to achieve optimal quality and production standards by conducting regular quality checks and validating Traveler Reports.
    • Conduct Testing: Execute physical and analytical tests such as Elmendorf Tear, Dart Drop, Tensile Gauge Profile, Opacity, weights and measures, and consumer-specific testing. Additional tests may be required for samples from extrusion lines, trial runs, and requests from sales.
    • Laboratory Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all laboratory testing equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions.
    • Pallet Audits: Perform pallet audits as needed to comply with customer specifications.
    • Team Engagement: Participate in employee-led teams to address issues related to scrap, quality, safety, or other production challenges.
    • Collaboration with Quality Team: Work alongside the Quality team to maintain safety, quality, production, and housekeeping standards that meet or exceed world-class expectations.
    • Support Packing Operations: Ensure that packers have the necessary and correct supplies for product packaging. Coordinate with Packaging Handlers to secure the right quantities of materials. Leave sufficient packaging and supplies for the next shift (at least to table height).
    • Packers Assistance: Provide support to packers by filling in as needed, troubleshooting, operating equipment, and managing housekeeping responsibilities.
    • Additional Duties: Carry out other tasks as assigned or requested.

Education: Knowledge normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

 

Skills/Experience: In addition to the educational requirements, previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

 

Language Skills: Ability to read, and interpret procedure manuals, specification sheets and other product                  documentation. Ability to write simple reports and instructions. Must be able to read, understand and write in              English.

Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills to be able to understand simple mathematical concepts such as          percentages and ratios; Ability to read a weight scale and tape measure and/or ruler to perform quality checks and transfer to documents.

Employees may           reach, climb, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, bend or twist up to 66% of the work shift
