Responsibilities

  • Develop new processes and assess/improve existing ones.
  • Participating in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations related to tooling and equipment.
  • Maintaining documentation for compliance inspections, corrective actions, and preventive maintenance.
  • Contributing to cross-functional reviews of tooling changes or new installations to assess safety impact.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to technical support personnel.
  • Drive improvements in processes, equipment and systems to optimize quality and production performance.
  • Complete effective Root Cause analysis & Corrective Action.
  • Drive Lean concepts and methods throughout the facility
  • Establish standardized processes, documentation, and systems
  • Implement new technologies, as required to enhance operational performance.
  • Make data-based decisions to identify and resolve ongoing issues.
  • Implement changes to improve product quality and safety.
  • Train technical personnel to improve capabilities and skills.
  • Oversee mold tooling operations to meet production and quality goals.
  • Troubleshoot problems and offer recommendations for process and material enhancements.

Language Skills                                               

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 

 

Reasoning Ability                                            

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills                                               

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of manufacturing software and order processing systems.

Specific vision capabilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

3- yr. certification from a Technical/Trade Institution

5-7 yrs. of related manufacturing experience
