Responsibilities

Purpose:

Manage the work for all Maintenance Technicians, ensuring timely CM’s and PM’s to drive improvement in our overall plant efficiencies

 

  • Direct and manage the Maintenance Technicians in Sparks, NV
  • Support & comply with safety, food safety & environmental guidelines
  • Improve machine up time by ensuring all CM’s and PM’s are properly performed and documented in Avante
  • Maintain facility by ensuring daily walks are completed and other requirements per the Facilities Engineer
  • Oversee spare parts inventory
  • Research and purchase parts as needed for machine break downs and/or spare parts replacement
  • Diagnose problems with equipment & repair/replace defective parts
  • Drive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area and support the initiative throughout the manufacturing and warehousing operations
  • Work closely with Production, Warehouse and Engineering to create a team atmosphere
  • Communicate daily with the Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager to develop a daily list of priorities for the maintenance team
  • Make recommendations for improvement in the equipment and facilities

Qualifications

  • Good math skills
  • Good English language skills
  • Welding skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems
  • Advanced manufacturing mechanical experience
  • Advanced manufacturing controls and wiring experience
  • Basic understanding of motor controls and ability to read wiring diagrams
  • Proficient in MS Office / Computer
  • No fear of heights
  • Prior experience managing in a manufacturing environment

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, communicate, see and hear
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequently climb towers up to 35 feet high
  • Regularly required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch or bend
  • Strong motor skills
