Responsibilities

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly accomplished and forward-thinking Manager of Applied Data Science to lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics solutions that transform our supply chain. This role is central to our data-driven strategy, responsible for architecting scalable models, guiding technical innovation, and enabling smarter, faster decisions across our AFC&D Business Group.

This leader will take ownership of the back-end analytics ecosystem—including data sourcing, feature engineering, machine learning, and optimization—while also contributing to front-end delivery and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical mastery, strategic thinking, and leadership experience, with a track record of delivering measurable impact through data science.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and implement predictive and prescriptive models to optimize supply chain functions such as demand forecasting, inventory planning, production scheduling, and network design.

· Lead stakeholder engagement around data architecture, sourcing strategy, and technical feasibility—collaborating with IT, data engineering, and business teams to ensure robust and scalable data infrastructure.

· Develop and operationalize machine learning solutions using modern frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost), and manage model lifecycle across environments.

· Drive innovation in supply chain analytics, including experimentation with LLMs, RAG architectures, simulation modeling, and agentic AI where applicable.

· Collaborate with the front-end analytics leader to integrate back-end models into intuitive dashboards, decision tools, and executive reporting.

· Foster a culture of technical excellence and mentorship, contributing to the development of junior talent and scalable team practices; may assume formal leadership responsibilities as the data science function expands.

· Establish best practices in data governance, model interpretability, and responsible AI across analytics initiatives.

· Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, influencing decisions with data-backed narratives and scenario modeling.

· Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
