Responsibilities

The Manager of Supply Chain Continuous Improvement will lead high-impact initiatives that enhance supply chain performance across AFCD’s network. This role is responsible for managing complex, cross-functional projects that span multiple divisions, internal teams, and external partners—including IT and supply chain solution vendors. A key focus will be driving operational improvements through structured project management and data-driven decision-making, including the integration of prescriptive analytics. The ideal candidate will bring strong supply chain domain knowledge, proven project leadership experience, and a practical understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and manage large-scale supply chain improvement projects involving cross-functional teams, IT, and external vendors.
  • Apply structured project management practices to ensure timely delivery, stakeholder alignment, and measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement supply chain planning and execution solutions.
  • Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities using data analysis, stakeholder input, and business objectives.
  • Support the integration of prescriptive analytics into CI initiatives to enable smarter, faster decision-making.
  • Facilitate process documentation, root cause analysis, and solution design using appropriate CI methodologies.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project impact and drive transparency.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure adoption and sustainability of new processes and technologies.
  • Coach and mentor teams on continuous improvement principles and project execution best practices.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 6–10+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or project management roles.
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, systems, and performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, PDCA, etc.); certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience working with IT teams and external solution providers on system implementations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; experience using data to drive decisions.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support project execution and stakeholder engagement.
