Responsibilities

 

  1. Manage and track all material inventories including resins, scrap, regrind, and concentrates. 
  2. Coordinate with railroad and other suppliers for on-time material deliveries and review expenses.
  3. Review machine schedules and material usage forecasts to ensure adequate material supply for injection molding operations.
  4. Review daily material usage and report on variances.
  5. Develop and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on material inventories and projections.
  6. Oversee scrap handling processes and identify opportunities to clean and reuse material.
  7. Supervise all individuals within the materials department.
  8. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on material inventories and action plans necessary to meet production demands.
  9. Oversee the color compounding and color matching operations.
  10. Maintain all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements
  11. Responsible for ensuring all ISO and SQF standards are met.
  12. Plan and direct departmental meetings for goal setting, problem solving, safety, etc.

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Engineering or Manufacturing degree preferred.
  2. Strong written and oral communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft tools.
  3. Able to work in extremes of heat/cold.
  4. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
