Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Tooling Quality Technician to join our quality team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of tooling through comprehensive inspections and precision measurement techniques. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM), a strong understanding of tooling specifications, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tooling inspections using visual checks, 3D scanning, CMM, and other precision gauges
  • Interpret tooling prints and specifications accurately
  • Provide CMM programming, operation, and training support to manufacturing personnel
  • Maintain Quality Room and CMM equipment
  • Assist with Calibration, Non-conformance, Quality Communications, and Final Approval processes

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with CMM programming and operation
  • Familiarity with tooling and quality inspection methods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate a forklift safely
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or Metrology certifications
  • 3+ years of CMM experience
  • Proficiency with Mastercam, CMM Manager, Polyworks, and/or SolidWorks
  • Experience in full tool build programs
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
  • Certified Journeyman Tool Maker
