Responsibilities

  • Encourage, coach and discipline employees in a positive manner.
  • Maintain a professional, positive and motivated workforce.
  • Oversee the duties of all Laminate Forming employees with the goal of safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate changeovers and set-ups.
  • Monitor quality of laminate production.
  • Check for accuracy and approve payroll (Kronos) for your shift.
  • Communicate with support departments any issues to maintain safe, quality and efficient production.
  • Continually work to develop the skills of fellow Laminate Forming employees and communicate with technical trainer and group leader.
  • Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct employees.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders/steps.
  • Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 7 hours during an 8 hour shift.
  • Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance and a minimum near vision ability to read 10-12 point font at 12-18 inches.
