Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to support our overnight production team at our manufacturing plant. This awesome QA is knowledgeable, they pride themselves in their safety mindset, quality and leadership abilities. This is a high paying job with built-in overtime at a leading global US based company that is dedicated to creating a safe work environment with opportunities for growth and development. 

 

  • Collect shots and samples from the production floor.
  • Makes decisions on print quality issues and works closely with Shift Supervisor and Technical leads to resolve.
  • Performs variable inspections that provide metrology data such as color, clarity, or opacity.
  • Performs attribute inspections comparing them to established standards that note the presence or absence of a physical, visual, or functional characteristic or defect. 
  • Responsible for creating a visual reference guide per customer requirements.
  • Responsible for various inspections and testing duties.
  • Maintains quality records and standard books in an orderly manner.
  • Inspector places materials on hold as needed, determines materials to be scrapped, and may stop a process partially or in whole based on company and customer requirements.

Qualifications

 

 

  • Must have H.S. Diploma/GED
  • Must have minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing Quality Assurance related field
  • Must have a good attendance record
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports or correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one or small group situations with other employees of the organization.
  • Good computer skills: Microsoft Office, ERP and inspection programs.
  • One or more years of experience in print production and/or quality
  • Experience in injecting plastic molding a plus

Additional Info

Education and/or Experience:

 

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. 

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.

Job Type: Full-time

Shifts available:

12 hours Night Shift: 6:30PM to 7:00AM 2, 2, 3, 2 schedule

Shift Differential for night shift

Starting pay:  $21.00/Hr. plus $2.00/Hour night shift differential

Bi-Annual Bonus Compensation
